Amazon Prime Day 2021 Dates, Times & Discounts

Amazon Prime Day 2021 will be held on June 21-22, 2021. Being one of the largest shopping events each year, promises millions of deals and new offers on Amazon's constantly growing list of products & services.

Let's take a look at what Amazon Prime Day actually is, its significance, and sneak previews on which products will be going on sale first.

What Is Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is one of the most exclusive deal's event that is held once per year. Amazon loves to promote new deals, hot new released products, Prime movies & TV shows, even giving exclusive access to new deals unreleased to non-Prime members. With their already, 150-million-plus members, these online shoppers have access to some of the lowest prices of the year on Amazon devices and other products from leading brands.

First Introduced in 2015 in part to celebrate Amazon's 20th anniversary, the first Amazon Prime Day was a one-day-only retail holiday for Prime members that sought to overtake Black Friday as the sales event of the year.

During the annual event, prices drop to all-time lows, often beating out prices we see over Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The sale covers every product category Amazon offers: tech, beauty, home, kitchen, fashion, smart home and more.

How Much Does It Cost?

A Prime membership costs only $13 a month or $119 a year and is FREE for the first 30 days. Prime delivers benefits like FREE two-day shipping, rewards at Amazon stores like Whole Foods, and hundreds of streaming movies and TV shows from Prime Video.

Planning for and shopping during Amazon Prime Day 2021 can be a little overwhelming. To help, we are answering all the most common questions regarding the sales event, including dates, competing sales, and more.

Which is better for deals: Prime Day or Black Friday?

Prime Day. Hands down. But, it does depend on what you're shopping for.

Prime Day's Host, Amazon, offers the best deals on millions of Amazon manufactured products. As well as deals on third party sellers. 2021 deals include massive discounts on Amazon Echo smart speakers, Fire TVs and steaming devices, Kindle e-readers, Audible and even Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions (which offers 4 MONTHS FREE to new Prime subscribers).

Black Friday on the other hand, can't offer as dramatic of deals because the day isn't specifically owned by one company, it is more for online shoppers on any website on the internet that is willing to give out these discounts.

In addition, Prime day is more convenient, accessible and the ultimate discount hub when it comes to a wide variety of different categories. Usually staying under $100, the majority of Amazon deals on Prime Day are focused more on clothing, food and beauty products rather than rarer purchases that occur on Black Friday like TV's, gaming consoles & laptops.
